Lenovo has done it again. It seems to be the only one getting it right these days with the Windows 8 convertible designs. The ThinkPad Twist is easy to use and is quite affordable in price. While it utilizes a different design than the IdeaPad Yoga, another one of Lenovo’s convertible laptops, the ThinkPad Twist still does a great job going back and forth between ultrabook and tablet modes.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Twist has relatively little competition in the convertible Windows 8 touchscreen camp. In fact, Lenovo’s own IdeaPad Yoga 13 may be its biggest competitor. Even in a more populated field, we can see why the Twist has sold so well since it came out: the price is very reasonable, the laptop offers capable performance, a sharp and bright IPS display, a fantastic keyboard and Lenovo’s usual sturdy build quality. The 12.5″ laptop is also very portable and the center-swivel hinge is a thing of practical and timeless functional beauty. Our only complaint? We’d love to see longer battery runtimes.
