The ThinkPad Helix utilizes an innovative design to combine the functionality of both tablet and ultrabook computing. Very different from the IdeaPad Yoga and the ThinkPad Twist designs, Lenovo has demonstrated it’s creative genius again in what the company is calling the “Rip & Flip” form factor. Basically the display found on the ThinkPad Helix comes off its base or dock, and can be used independently or can be reattached to the primary system in different positions. What an ingenious concept. Check out this video of the thought process that went into engineering this interesting device. The Helix is expected to come out in either March or April 2013.
